I am very interested in rainbows in art and literature. I saw numerous rainbows on my recent trip to Skye, in addition to other weather features like the corona.
One of my favourite hymns, O love that wilt not let me go, is by George Matheson (1842-1906) and contains the evocative line, 'I trace the rainbow through the rain ...'
Many will know The Rainbow by William Wordsworth. There is a wonderful painting by John Constable (1776-1837) called Salisbury Cathedral from the Meadows (1831).

* Shakespeare: King John: Act IV, Scene II
